Senior Software QA Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software QA Engineer to ensure our projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of QA experience, with a proven track record in leading testing efforts on complex service projects. This role demands hands-on testing skills, a strategic mindset for QA methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies for complex projects to ensure product quality.
• Develop and maintain detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases based on client specifications and requirements.
• Execute both manual and automated tests, analyze results, report and track defects, and follow through with issues until resolution.
• Improve and advocate for QA best practices and processes within the team, including implementing advanced testing tools and methodologies.
• Manage testing schedules and ensure adherence to timelines and delivery milestones.
• Collaborate with software developers and project support teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated testing tools and frameworks to improve test efficiency and reliability.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and knowledge.
• Ensure documentation of test results is thorough, understandable, and usable for all stakeholders.
• Provide leadership in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to drive system enhancements and improve operational efficiency.
• Remain up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, and advocate for best practices in QA.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on service-oriented projects.
• Expertise in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA)
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a client-facing role or services-oriented environment.
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines.
